General Notes: Husband - J. M. Hogue


After completing his schooling in Butler County, Pennsylvania, he farmed on the home place. He was one of the men employed on the job of building the first stone bridge in the county. Later, he returned to farming and was thus engaged for many years. He also conducted a threshing business for ten years and owned well improved farms in Mercer, Slippery Rock and Parker townships. In 1907 he moved to Forrestville and for a number of years was active as a carpenter contractor. In 1922 he was elected justice of the peace.
Politically Mr. Hogue was a Republican and he held membership in the Methodist Church.
