General Notes: Husband - Amos Read

---

He accompanied his father's family from Centre County, Pennsylvania, to the new home in 1803, and spent his life in Lawrence township, Clearfield County, settling in 1830 on a tract of wooded land which he cleared for a homestead.

He served as county commissioner in 1884.
