He was an Irishman who came from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, to Crawford County.
He was a man of brains and energy. He owned a farm about a mile west of the city limits of Titusville, and built and operated a saw mill on the property. The farm was later owned by Mr. E. O. Emerson.
