General Notes: Husband - Hugh Wilson

He was a descendant of the old Wilson family of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, originally from Ireland.

He came to Monongahela City, Pennsylvania, in 1810, and was one of the first ruling elders in the Presbyterian church there, a strong Presbyterian of the Scotch-Irish school, of great piety and much force of character. Among his many religious books were a book of prayers, published in 1710, which became a family heirloom, and a rare old Bible of great size, which came from Ireland and contains carefully preserved records of the Wilson family.

General Notes: Wife - Sibby Holmes

She attended the ball given in Philadelphia in honor of the Declaration of Independence, and the gray satin gown she wore on that occasion became a valued treasure of the family.
