General Notes: Husband - Jacob Hommer, Sr.


He was a native of Germany, grew up in Maryland, and was one of the early settlers of West Salem Township, Mercer County, PA. He served in the Revolutionary War.
With his second wife, two sons, John and Jacob, (Joseph remained in Maryland) and his four daughters by his first marriage, he immigrated to Mercer County, PA, in 1809, where he purchased and settled on a tract of land partly lying within the present limits of Greenville.
