General Notes: Husband - Harvey B. Van Voorhis


He farmed for a time on the "Rogally" farm, near the town of Finleyville, Pennsylvania; then carried on the liquor business in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania; then leased for some years the Oakland Park, out Fifth avenue, Pittsburgh. In the Civil War he was a major in the cavalry service in which he was severely wounded. After the war he went west and located in Spearville, Kansas.
