General Notes: Husband - John Hughey

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War; served on frontier duty on tours of two months each during the years 1775-76-77. He was of Captain James Morrison's company, Colonel Porter, commander. In 1776-77 he was of Captain John Paxton's company with Colonel James Morrison's regiment in the Jersey campaign. In 1831 he was placed on the pension roll of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for services as a soldier of the Revolution.

He came to a farm in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about 1780.

The Kings were a noted Revolutionary family. Rev. John King, chaplain in Washington's army, and Lieutenant Robert King were of that family.
