General Notes: Husband - George Keck

---

He was born in the "Manor," and followed farming until 1846 when he removed to New Salem (Delmont), Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and kept the Walton House for three years. During the next ten years he ran a hotel in Murrysville but was burned out in 1856; then, after a year in Irwin, he returned to New Salem and engaged for several years in the general merchandise business. After running a tannery for a time he engaged in the drug business with Zach. Zimmerman, but in a few years engaged in the mercantile business in company with his son Henry. He was a member of the Reformed church.
