General Notes: Husband - James Hunter


He was born about 1776. [CBRWC, 1006]

He was born of Irish parents in eastern Pennsylvania. Soon after his first marriage he located in Buffalo township, Washington County, following farming and distilling until 1839. At that time he settled on a farm in East Finley township which was situated about a mile east of Good Intent, near the western line of the township. He died on this farm, which later became the property of his son, James J. Hunter.
He was a member of the U. P. Church at Wheeling, and in politics he was a Whig.
