General Notes: Husband - John Hunter

He was born in Virginia, moved to Ohio with his parents when about eight years old. When about fifteen years old he went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and learned the carpenter’s trade, which he followed until 1858, when he purchased a farm, and thereafter resided in Worth Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He held the office of school director of the township for twelve years, also treasurer of the township, and justice of the peace. He voted the Republican ticket. He was one of the charter members of Worth Lodge No. 554, I. O. O. F.
