General Notes: Husband - John Moulds

He was born in one of the middle states bordering on the Keystone State.

He was educated in the public schools of his native State, and found his first employment on the completion of his schooling in the nail factory at Steubensville, where he remained working in various capacities until 1877, when he moved to Rochester, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, to enter the glass industry. He worked there until he, with several other progressive associates, established the Keystone Glass Company for the manufacture of glass products, with which business establishment he remained in the position of secretary and general manager until 1902, when this organization went out of business. Deciding to venture into new fields of endeavor, Mr. Moulds formed a partnership with James W. Doncaster and entered the real estate and insurance business, a business agreement that was to last for sixteen years, when it was dissolved after a highly successful period during which it had led the way to many of the most progressive real estate advancements in the community. On the retirement of Mr. Moulds from the real estate and insurance business he was made the tax collector of Rochester, a position which he retained for some years, having the support of both the Democratic and Republican parties. Although he was a Democrat he was always above party lines when it came to a matter of the welfare of the public. He served as a member of the Rochester Council, and was at one time its president. Mr. Moulds was a member of the Beaver Valley Chamber of Commerce. For his church affiliation he chose the Episcopal Church.
