General Notes: Husband - William Hurst


He was a merchant, came to America in 1839 and settled in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the remainder of his life.
He and his wife had seven children.

He and his wife were natives of England, and settled in Bridgewater, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in 1832. He learned the mercantile business in England, for which privilege his parents paid five hundred pounds. In Bridgewater he carried on a dry goods store and grocery until his death.
