General Notes: Husband - Charles David Ross


He was educated in the public schools of his native county. On leaving school, he worked for six years as a carriage-maker for the W. C. Lauderer Company, in Evans City, Pennsylvania, and then was in the employ of the Edward Dambaugh Planing Mill, also in Evans City, where he worked at cabinet and mill duties. Five years of this, and Mr. Ross moved to Ellwood City; where he became affiliated with W. W. Davidson & Son, owned by W. W. Davidson and his son, C. C. Davidson. Directly following this new arrangement, in 1921, he was taken in as a member of the firm, which became a co-partnership.
Mr. Ross was a Republican, and is active in affairs of a political and civic nature. During the first World War he served twenty-one months in the 35th Engineering Corps of the Army, nineteen months being spent overseas. He was discharged on June 5, 1919.
