General Notes: Husband - S. J. Irvine


After completing his early schooling at Evans City, Pennsylvania, he attended Iron City College, Pittsburgh. He began his business career with the Dambach Planing Mills, and was associated with this concern for 12 years, when he entered the Citizens National Bank as cashier, succeeding John Rhoner, who died while holding that office. Mr. Irvine was elected president of the institution about 1905 following the death of Edward Dambach, who had served as president of the bank from the time of its organization. Mr. Irvine was also president of the Dambach Lumber Company, president of the Butler County Bankers Association, and a director of the Evans City Cemetery Association.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and was affiliated with the Masonic lodge. He was a Republican in politics.
