General Notes: Husband - John Means

---

He and his wife were natives of Ireland, who came to America at an early day. They located in the village of Whitesville, where their sons purchased 200 acres of land lying in Perry township, Jefferson county, and built a hewed-log house. The place was soon cleared and transformed into good farms.
