General Notes: Husband - Andrew Jackson

He was educated in the Buffalo, New York, public school, and moved to Forest County, Pennsylvania, with his parents. He remained at home as his father's assistant until the death of the latter, then moved to Hallton, Elk County, where he learned the blacksmith's trade. After working at his trade there several years he moved to Ridgway, Pennsylvania, where he purchased a farm on the Montmorence road. There he lived for twenty-eight years, becoming one of the well known and substantial farmers of the day. He was a Democrat in politics, interested in public affairs, but never seeking or accepting public offices. In religious faith he was a Presbyterian, and devotedly attached to the church of his choice.
