Elsie L. Jacobs
Elsie L. Jacobs, 92, a resident of Venango Manor since 1991, formerly of Clintonville, died at 5:28 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996, in Northwest Medical Center at Franklin following an extended illness.
She was admitted Dec. 16 to the medical center.
Born May 31, 1904, in Clinton Township, Venango County, she was a daughter of Ralph and Mary Maude Hoffman McKinley.
She attended the Harmony Grove Elementary School in Clinton Township and then attended Clintonville High School.
Mrs. Jacobs was a beautician, having owned and operated a beauty shop in Grove City for a number of years. She retired as a nurse's aide in 1969 from the Mercer County Home.
She was a member of the Rankin Chapel United Methodist Church in Scrubgrass Township.
Mrs. Jacobs enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting, gardening and flowers.
She was married in Pittsburgh Sept. 1, 1945, to Frank E. Jacobs, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a stepson, Harold Jacobs of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by four brothers, William C. McKinley, Dallas R. McKinley, Kenneth D. McKinley and Theodore R. McKinley.
The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 103 Emlenton St., Clintonville, is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Rankin Chapel United Methodist Church, in care of the Rev. Jack Elder, Clintonville, Pa. 16372.
