General Notes: Husband - Richard Jacobs

With his brother, John, he came to America during the reign of Charles II and settled in the Province of Pennsylvania in the autumn of the same year in which William Penn obtained his grant, 1681. John and Richard Jacobs were young Quakers, and came from England near the border of Wales, and may have been in fact Welshmen. Upon arriving in the province they held patents for land from William Penn, which land they located in what is now Montgomery County. Richard settled on the Schuylkill, and John on the Perkiomen.
