He removed in 1809 [from East Berlin, Pennsylvania?] to Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He became a physician and settled in Allentown, [Lehigh County,?] Pennsylvania. He was the principal owner of a chain bridge which spanned the Lehigh river at that place, and he lived in a house near the bridge which was used as a toll-house.
