He lived on the Harrisburg and Chambersburg pike [Franklin County, Pennsylvania?], where he and his wife died, he at the age of sixty-two, and she aged sixty-five years. They were the parents of twelve children. He farmed on a large scale, having several hundred acres; he was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and politically an old line Whig.
