General Notes: Husband - John Johnston


He settled where his son, George, later resided, and farmed, but lived the last fifteen years of his life in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where he died at the age of eighty years. He was a Republican and filled township and county offices, among which was that of county commissioner; he was a Presbyterian.
