General Notes: Husband - William McCafferty


He lived at Fairview, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and afterwards near Greenville, Pennsylvania, and there died.

was a cabinet maker, having mastered this trade while yet a young man. He married at the age of twenty years and continued in the cabinet making business at Fairview, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and was also an undertaker. Later in life he engaged in the hotel business for a number of years at Fairview. He retired from this business in 1877, having purchased land and built a fine home in Hempfield township, Mercer County, to which he removed in the month of April of that year. He superintended his farm up to the date of his death. He was a Democrat and held the office of school director. In church faith he was Roman Catholic.
He and his wife were the parents of fifteen children, only four of whom were still living in 1909.
