General Notes: Husband - James McIntire

He was doubtless born in Scotland and is supposed to have lived in Ireland with his parents. At the age of sixteen years, in 1806, he came to America. He kept a shoe store on the corner of Liberty and Seventh streets [Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?] for some years, and after his marriage in 1820 moved to his wife's old homestead in Allegheny, giving up the shoe business, and located on Perrysville avenue, then the Franklin road, near the intersection of what was later McIntire avenue, where he remained until his death.
