General Notes: Husband - Rev. Robert Johnston


He was a pioneer minister of northwestern Pennsylvania. He served for many years as pastor of the Presbyterian church of Meadville, then in 1817, moved to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

He was the first pastor of the Presbyterian church of Scrubgrass, Venango County. He died aged nearly ninety years, in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

His descent from Oliver Cromwell is traced through the Protector's eldest daughter, Bridget.
