General Notes: Husband - James A. Kamerer

He received his education at the public schools, remaining at home until seventeen years of age, when he engaged with the Packard Hardware Co., with whom he remained for ten years and then removed to Youngstown, Ohio, and engaged with the Morris Hardware Co. as their traveling salesman, in which capacity he traveled for fifteen years. After this he engaged with W. Bingham & Co., a wholesale hardware house of Cleveland, Ohio, as their representative on the road. He remained in that position a year, and October 1, 1904, engaged in the hardware business on his own account at Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He carried a full line of general hardware and plumbers' supplies and also household furnishings and builders' material. The style of the firm was J. A. Kamerer & Co.
He was connected with the Odd Fellows order, Alhambra Lodge No. 293; with the Elks, No. 145, and both he and his wife were members of the Augusta Rebekah Lodge No. 279. In his political views Mr. Kamerer was a supporter of the Democratic party.
