General Notes: Husband - Albert H. Artman


He was past post commander, adjutant, and senior vice commander, of Robert Porter Post No. 326, G. A. R. He enlisted at Meadville, PA, February 16, 1864, and went at once to the front and the Shenandoah valley under “Little Phil” Sheridan. He did scout and garrison duty and at Leavenworth, Kansas, he was a special escort to Gen. G. M. Dodge through the territories. At Pittsburgh, PA, November 8, 1865, he received his honorable and final discharge.
