General Notes: Husband - Walter Medsger Loucks

He received the elementary portion of his education at the local public schools of Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and afterwards was a student for a time at Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana. Upon completing his studies at the latter institution, he returned to his native region and began the serious business of earning a livelihood as a linotype machinist in the Mennonite Publishing Company. This was in the year 1907 and he continued to remain so employed for the three years following. In 1910 he severed his connection with this concern and engaged in his present automobile business and founded the Loucks Motor Company. Mr. Loucks handled the Oldsmobile car, in which he did a most gratifying business.
In politics he was a Republican, but was not an office seeker in any way. He found his chief recreation in wholesome outdoor sports and past-times and was particularly devoted to hunting, fishing and motoring.
