General Notes: Husband - Joseph Keck

A pioneer of the Shenango Valley, Pennsylvania. He settled in West Salem Township, Mercer County, in the spring of 1797.
In the summer of his settlement he married, bringing his young bride to his chosen farm on the west slope of the valley and commencing his married life in the rude log house he had erected during the previous year. He was an active and successful man in many ways other than in the conduct and development of his agricultural interests. He not only owned and operated a flour mill, but also bought land adjoining the original town of Greenville and laid out what is now its most valuable addition. He was also a deeply religious man and was a practical supporter of local religious work, among his other acts being the donation of lots to both the Methodist and Presbyterian churches.
