General Notes: Husband - William Martin

Among the earliest settlers of Lancaster Township, Butler County, PA, were the Martins. In consequence of the rebellion in Ireland, the family emigrated in 1801, and settled on Yellow Creek. The first residence of the original family was a pole and cloth shanty, occupied until a cabin could be erected.
