Donegal Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

Civil War: in 1862 he enlisted in the sixty-first reg. Pa. Vols. and served throughout the war, taking part in all the battles in which the Army of the Potomac was engaged. In the service he contracted inflammatory rheumatism, which so crippled him that he had to use crutches.
