General Notes: Husband - Jacob Rice

He settled on French creek, five miles above Franklin, Pennsylvania, about 1792. He was drowned while crossing French creek in a canoe, in company with Philip Cutchall and a young lady. The lady and he were both drowned; Mr. Cutchall reached the shore in safety. It was caused by the skiff sinking with them.
