About the year 1778, when he was in the neighborhood of twenty-one years old, he came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and purchased land in Buffalo township, where he passed the remainder of his days. He died in 1849 at the age of eighty-two years. [The dates given by the source do not add up.]
He and his wife were members of the Baptist Church.
