General Notes: Husband - Rev. John Herron Kennedy

---

He was graduated at Jefferson College, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1820 and at the Princeton Theological Seminary, in 1823. He was licensed to preach in October, 1822, and was ordained pastor of the Sixth Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia in November, 1825. In 1830 he became professor of mathematics in Jefferson College, and took charge of the Centre congregation near Canonsburg. He afterward accepted the chair of Natural Philosophy and Chemistry, which he retained until his death.
