His principal business in life was farming. For many years he was a member of the mercantile firm of Keck, Kenney & Co. of Penn station and Livermore, Pennsylvania, but never took any active part in the same, having entrusted his interest in that company to the hands of his son George W. He was a member of the firm of T. A. Kenney & Son of New Alexandria.
