General Notes: Husband - Wilson E. Kepple

He was born on a farm which was originally his great-grandfather's, which was situated six miles north of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and four miles west of New Alexandria. He recevied his education at the local public schools, and while a young man operated the farm on which he was born for his father. He inherited his grandfather's farm and purchased the original homestead at the time of his marriage. He at once set about improving the soil of these two properties with the intention of bringing them to the highest possible state of productivity. For many years he kept a herd of eighteen cows and sold their milk at wholesale, and he also raised cattle for beef, which he disposed of in the neighborhood. He erected a barn measuring fifty by ninety-four feet on the Ralston farm and also a fine brick residence.
Mr. Kepple was a staunch Republican in politics, but was totally unambitious for political preferment or public office of any kind. He was prominent in the business world of that region, however, and was a director of a bank at New Alexandria, four miles away. He was also a director of the Westmoreland County Insurance Company and the New Alexandria Telephone Company.

General Notes: Wife - Emma Seanor

She resided on the farm next to that of her sister, Louisa, Mrs. David Kepple.
