General Notes: Husband - William Benton Moore


He was reared on the family homestead, received his primary education in the public schools, and afterward attended the academy at Clintonville. On reaching his majority he engaged in the oil business, working for different companies until 1872, when he purchased a home in the northwest part of the township, and followed agriculture. Mr. Moore and family were members of the United Presbyterian church, and politically he was a Republican.
