General Notes: Husband - Michael Seanor Pool

He was reared on the farm, acquiring his education in the common schools. He decided to make agriculture his life-work, and soon after reaching his majority in connection with his brother John he rented the home farm and cultivated his paternal acres. About two years later he assumed the sole management, which he maintained for some time after the death of his father. In 1891 he left the homestead and purchased a property in South East Greensburg, and resided there. At that time he accepted a position with the firm of Kelley & Jones, and about one year later took up contract work with them. During the subsequent thirteen years he had from three to seven men working for him in the fulfillment of large contracts. Mr. Pool was once elected a member of the council of the borough of South East Greensburg. He served two terms on the school board. His political principles were those advocated and upheld by the Republican party. He belonged to Greensburg Lodge, No. 44, Royal Arcanum.
