General Notes: Husband - John Creighton Nesbit III




Early in life he was engaged in the manufacture of pottery, then an industry of great extent in York County, Pennsylvania, where the clay was well adapted to the purpose. One of the first furnaces operated was erected on the McMullin place adjoining "Hibernia." Later Mr. Nesbit's personal tastes led him to enter the profession of teaching and in the histories' of the county he has a place as a mathematician of more than local note.
