General Notes: Husband - Joseph Klingler

The Klinglers of St. Petersburg, Pennsylvania, were of German descent, the emigrant having settled in eastern Pennsylvania, descendants settling in Union and Center counties, where they were generally engaged in farming.

He was born in either Centre or Union counties, Pennsylvania, where he married and lived until after the birth of his sixth child. In the spring of 1842 he moved to Clarion County, settling in Richland township, purchasing a tract of one hundred and twelve acres. This was timbered land, which he cleared, improved, and cultivated until his death. He was a Republican in politics, and both he and his wife were members of the German Reformed church.
