General Notes: Husband - David Knight

He was one of the early settlers in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he was one of the prosperous farmers of the section. He was a shrewd business man, and marketed the greater part of his products in New Orleans, to which place he took them by boat. He owned about two hundred and seventy acres of land, all in one parcel. He cast his vote regularly for the Democratic candidates but never desired public office for himself.
He and his wife had twelve children.
