Golden Anniversary Is Marked By Venus Couple
Mr. and Mrs. James Harvey Sharrar of Venus, R. D. 1, were honored Saturday, September 16, 1967, at a family celebration marking their golden wedding anniversary.
The couple's nine children and 27 grandchildren presented them with a four-tiered anniversary cake and many lovely gifts.
During the afternoon, approximately 60 relatives and close friends visited the honored couple. Guests attended from Erie, Bradford and Chautauqua, N. Y., as well as from the immediate area.
Harvey and Myrtle Knight Sharrar were married September 17, 1917, in the First Methodist Church in Jamestown, N. Y., by Rev. Gardner S. Eldridge.
Mr. Sharrar is a former mail carrier and a retired Worthington employee.
