General Notes: Husband - Charles Larrison Kuhn


After leaving the public schools of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in which he received a good education, he was employed for a time in the grocery business and then engaged in card painting in the city of Pittsburgh, continuing in that work for about five years. He returned to Mount Pleasant in 1872, and in 1875 engaged in the drug business. Entering the college of Pharmacy at Pittsburgh, in 1878, he completed the course of study and graduated from that institution in 1880. He became the proprietor of an excellent drug store, carrying about $5,000 worth of stock and he owned valuable real estate in Mount Pleasant as well.
