General Notes: Husband - Joseph Shirey

He lived on a farm in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, situated five miles east of Greensburg, on the Lincoln highway.

He was one of those responsible for the building and support of the Church of God, an organization which later went defunct. It was he who contributed land for the church edifice, which stood on his farm. He was not an ambitious man, however, and did not take part in the public life of the community.
