General Notes: Husband - Asher K. Nicely

He was born in Ligonier township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and for a number of years traveled much in the west. Like his father he devoted himself to agricultural pursuits. In 1861 he enlisted in Company G, One Hundred and Thirty-fifth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served nine months. February 5, 1864, he re-enlisted in Company G, First Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, for three years or during the war. He was a member of the German Reformed church.
