She spent ten years with her sister while the latter was living in Philadelphia, subsequently devoted three years to missionary work in the South, at Harriman and Huntsville, Tennessee, among the mountaineers, and after that resided at the home of her brother, Alfred, in Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, in 1918.
