Captain Lecrone of the York County branch of the Lecrone family received from Congress a silver medal for his bravery and services during the Revolutionary War. Many years later this medale was in the possession of his great-grandson, Dr. Israel Lecrone, of Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
