General Notes: Husband - David Shields


He was a merchant in the West India trade. He settled in Little Washington, Pennsylvania, about 1800, and shortly after married.

He resided in Washington, Pennsylvania, from 1801 to 1823, when he removed to the Sewickly Bottoms, Allegheny County.

From his marriage there were nine children, of whom but three married. Two of the three were deceased before 1882.
