General Notes: Husband - Clarence John Shoemaker


He received his early education in the grade and high school in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, from which he graduated and subsequently matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1912 with the degree of Bachelor of Science, after having established a record for scholarship and probity. After leaving college, he entered the real estate and insurance business. Mr. Shoemaker was extensively interested in the building of houses in and about Greensburg, and was also identified with the land development business. In politics Mr. Shoemaker was an Independent, and in his religious belief was a Lutheran, like the other members of his family, and held the office of treasurer of the First Lutheran Church of the city.


General Notes: Wife - Una Margaret Lehman


She was a descendant of the Livingston family of Revolutionary fame, among whose distinguished members was Philip Livingston, signer of the Declaration of Independence.
