General Notes: Husband - Marks Leighty

He was supposed to have been born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Coming to Westmoreland County with his father, he settled in East Huntingdon township on a farm, and devoted his entire attention to agricultural pursuits in connection with distilling. He was an active member of the Reformed church.

He came as a young man from the eastern part of Pennsylvania and settled in East Huntingdon township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, there passing the remainder of his days. His trade was that of a millwright, but after coming to Westmoreland County, he became the owner of a large tract of land and thenceforth devoted himself to farming.
