General Notes: Husband - Solomon Leighty

He learned the trade of a stone and brick mason which he followed in connection with agricultural pursuits. Like his father and grandfather and all his brothers he made farming the chief business of his life, and success attended him in this calling as well as in his trade. His farm was situated one mile north of Scottdale. He was a member of the Reformed church.
